Happy birthday to my new chapbook Heart, born into the world today!
Heart is a collection of haikus about feelings. I wrote about feeling blithe and betrayed, disgusted and enchanted, wistful and determined--many feelings, woven together by an unbreakable thread of gratitude for friendship, for those who rejoice with us when we rejoice and mourn with us when we mourn.
This little book began in conversations with friends, since they accept my quirk of creating verse while we chat. Then one thing led to another, and Heart was born. I had so much fun writing these poems and hope you have fun reading them. Thank you.
